Account deletion

Delete your Twoody account

You can delete your Twoody account at any time. This page describes the three ways to do it, what happens to your data, and how long it takes.

From the Twoody app

  1. Open the Twoody app on iPhone, Android, or web (app.twoody.com).
  2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
  3. Tap your profile (top-right) → ProfileDelete account.
  4. Confirm with your password (or your guest pairing code if you signed up as a guest).

By email

Send a deletion request to [email protected] from the email address tied to your Twoody account. We action the request within 7 working days and send a written confirmation once your data has been wiped.

We may ask one verification question (e.g. the date of your last sign-in, or a partial postcode tied to your billing) before processing — only to make sure a third party isn't asking us to wipe your account.

From the web app

Sign in at app.twoody.com, open Profile → Delete account, and confirm. The web flow does the same thing as the mobile one — same confirmation, same retention windows below.

What gets deleted

When the deletion completes:

  • Your profile (name, email, phone, password hash) is wiped.
  • All your conversations, queries, and AI responses are deleted.
  • Your voice samples, voice profile, and face embedding are deleted.
  • Your contacts, reminders, notes, tasks, and email inbox at <username>@twoody.com are deleted.
  • Your bank account links and transaction snapshots are deleted; we don't ship anything to the bank.
  • Your paired Twoody devices are unpaired; their stored auth tokens are revoked so they re-prompt for setup on next boot.
  • Your RevenueCat subscription record is unlinked from Twoody (Apple / Google still owns the underlying subscription — see "Subscriptions" below).

Timing

In-app or web deletion
Immediate — the account is soft-deleted on submit; the row is hard-deleted within 30 days by the daily purge job.
Email-request deletion
Up to 7 working days from when we receive the request.
Backup retention
Encrypted database backups roll off within 35 days; after that, your data is gone from every disk we own.
Anonymized analytics
Aggregate counts (e.g. "1,234 messages were sent today") are kept indefinitely. They contain no identifier traceable back to you.

Subscriptions

Twoody charges your Plus / Max subscription through Apple, Google, or Stripe — never directly. Deleting your Twoody account does not automatically cancel the underlying subscription. Cancel it from the relevant store first if you want to stop being charged:

  • iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Twoody → Cancel.
  • Android: Play Store app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Twoody → Cancel.
  • Web (Stripe): the cancellation link in any Twoody invoice email, or contact [email protected].
