Twoody
Terms

Terms of use

These terms apply to the Twoody app (on the Mac; on Windows and Linux, and as iPhone and Android apps, in private beta), to the online Twoody account (optional) and to the twoody.com website. By using them, you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use them.

01 Publisher

Twoody is published by Osmove SASU, 146 ave Léon Blum, 92160 Antony, France (RCS Nanterre 902 644 970). Contact: support@twoody.com.

02 A private beta

Twoody is in private beta: the app for Windows and Linux, the iPhone and Android apps and some features, marked "beta", are open on invitation, as is the Mac app as long as its downloads are not open to everyone. A feature in beta may contain errors, change or be withdrawn. We may end access to the beta; your data then stays on your computer, and the online account's can be deleted on request.

The Twoody app

03 A free app

The Twoody app is free. There is no paid offer at this time.

04 Provided "as is"

The app is provided "as is": to the extent permitted by law, with no warranty that it works without interruption or error, nor that it suits a particular purpose. Keep backups of your documents.

05 Licence to use

Osmove lets you install and use the app free of charge, for personal and professional purposes alike, including in your company or practice. Its code comes under the Business Source License 1.1, which is not an open-source licence: its terms allow in particular personal use, an organisation's internal use and use within a household, but not offering, without a commercial licence from Osmove, a hosted service or a product that competes with Twoody; on 21 April 2030, the code will move to the Apache 2.0 licence. The code is not published at this time. You may not sell or rent the app, or present it as your own. It is built with free software, including llama.cpp (MIT licence), whisper.cpp, Electron and Chromium, whose licences ship with it (Settings › About).

06 Models

A model keeps its own licence, which you agree to respect; for the models Twoody installs, it is shown before the download. A model provided by another application (LM Studio, Ollama, mlx-lm) comes under that application and its licence.

07 Updates

The app checks at most once a day whether a new version exists, and asks you before installing it; the check can be turned off in Settings. A new version may add, change or remove features.

08 AI answers

A language model can be wrong, make things up, leave things out or misreport a source, even when it cites one. Check its answers before relying on them, especially for a professional decision, be it legal, accounting, medical or financial. Twoody does not replace the advice of a professional, and you remain responsible for how you use its answers.

09 Code and the Agent (beta)

Code can change files and run commands in the folder you open, after asking for your approval; the Agent works on a folder of documents without deleting or rewriting any file. Read what you approve, and work on a folder that is backed up: a feature in beta may contain errors.

10 Web search

Off by default. When you turn it on, your searches go to the engine you chose (DuckDuckGo, Brave Search or your SearXNG server) and the pages found are read from your computer: those services and sites apply their own terms.

11 Your content

Your conversations, documents and memories are yours: you keep all rights to them, and you are responsible for what you entrust to the app, and for holding the rights needed over the documents you have it read.

The online Twoody account (optional)

12 Access and credentials

The online account is optional. Free, it uses the models of your own computers only, never a cloud model. If you have one, you are responsible for your credentials and your paired devices, and you can revoke your sessions from your profile. We may suspend an account in case of abuse, a serious breach of these terms or a compromise.

13 Sharing a computer

If you lend your computer's models to your household or your organisation, the people you allow use it for their own conversations, which your computer processes without keeping them. You choose who benefits, and you can withdraw that sharing at any time; you remain responsible for the use of your computer.

14 Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time: the steps are on the Delete your account page.

For everyone

15 No paid offer

Twoody has no paid offer at this time. If a paid offer opens, its terms and price will be shown before any payment.

16 Age

Twoody is intended for people aged 15 or over.

17 Acceptable use

You agree not to use Twoody for illegal purposes or to infringe the rights of others; not to try to disrupt this website or the online service, introduce malicious code into them, access them without authorization or get around their limits; not to resell access to the online account; and not to use it to harass, deceive or defraud others.

18 Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by French law, Osmove is not liable for indirect damage — loss of data, revenue, customers or opportunity — arising from the use of Twoody or the inability to use it, nor for decisions made on the strength of its answers. Nothing in these terms limits Osmove's liability where the law forbids it, in particular for gross negligence, wilful misconduct or personal injury, nor the rights you hold under consumer protection rules.

19 Personal data

What Twoody does with your data is described in the privacy policy.

20 Changes

We may change these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its date; a significant change will also be announced on this website.

21 Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. A dispute falls under the courts designated by the ordinary rules, subject to the mandatory provisions that protect consumers, including those of their country of residence.
